Three variants

24 days tailored to your team

Festive Mix, Arcade or Shop Floor League – 24 days tailored to your team mix.

Two all-round variants for mixed teams and one tailored to manufacturing, logistics and technical teams. You can choose the colour scheme and the game mix too.

Festive Mix

For mixed teams where the community experience matters at least as much as the games.

    Advent calendar

    Shared challenge

The snowman you can only build together

12 parts, a new one every two days, each with a puzzle about your company. A team contest or one shared snowman for the whole company.

12 parts, a new one every two days. Each part is unlocked by a puzzle about your company, and it takes enough snowballs that most of the team has to pitch in. The goal: the top hat in place by 24 December.

    14 December

    Two modes, your choice

A contest between teams by shift or by department, or a single shared snowman for the whole company. The goal is set as a percentage, so it works with 1,000 people too.

    A puzzle about your company

A company crossword, the company in numbers, or zoomed-in photos from your company's world. The content can be swapped for each company; the gameplay stays the same.

    Everyone chips in

Every try is a snowball, a correct answer is two. The top hat only goes on above the participation threshold you set – we recommend 85–90%.

    Prizes

A guaranteed treat for persistence, a draw for the big prize

Bronze for 8, silver for 16, gold for 24 completed days, plus a grand prize draw and team rewards. Your company provides the prizes.

That way, even with 1,000 people, it's not just the top of the leaderboard that stays motivated. Taking part always earns points, and a missed day can be caught up for half points.

    8

    Bronze

    8 completed days

A digital badge and a small treat: a mince pie, a hot chocolate or a coffee from the canteen.

    16

    Silver

    16 completed days

A company gift: a flask, a mug or a beanie, or a canteen lunch voucher.

    24

    Gold

    All 24 days

A gift card or a festive hamper, an extra half day off and double draw tickets.

    50

    Grand prize draw

One ticket for every 50 points

An experience voucher, a spa weekend for two or a day of paid leave.

    Every team that finishes

    Team breakfast or pizza day

Hot chocolate and mince pies in the break room, with the finished snowman on screen under the team's name.

    In contest mode

A challenge trophy for the winners

It stays with the team until next Advent, plus a team outing: bowling, an escape room or go-karting.

    In whole-company mode

    A shared celebration

An early finish or a festive lunch, or a donation to a charity everyone votes for.

Your company chooses and hands out the prizes. How rewards are taxed depends on the form of the benefit, so it's worth checking with payroll in advance.

    Rollout

    Four steps to 1 December

Kick-off, customisation, rollout – and on 1 December the first door opens.
    1. Kick-off

Variant, colour scheme, challenge mode and prize budget.

    2. Customisation

12 company facts for the puzzle, team assignments and the participation threshold.

    3. Rollout

A link, a QR code for the noticeboard and a kiosk for the break room.

    4. 1–24 December

A door opens every day, and you hand out the prizes before the holidays.

    After Advent

In December everyone learns to use it. In January it's already there.

Carry on in the same CHEQ app: surveys, attendance and rosters, an HR chatbot, internal news.

The calendar runs on the CHEQ employee platform. If Advent works for you, you can carry on in the same app, with no new rollout:

    • Surveys and pulse checks for your whole workforce
    • Attendance and rosters for shift teams
    • HR chatbot for common questions
    • Internal communication even for those without a company email
    FAQ

    What HR asks first

Can't find the answer? Add your question to the notes in the quote request and we'll answer it there.

What is a company advent calendar?

An online advent game for the workplace: from 1 to 24 December a door opens every morning, with a 1–3 minute game behind it (memory, quiz, odd one out, skill game). Colleagues collect points, teams build a snowman together, and in December there are individual and team prizes. It can be played on phones, desktops and the break-room kiosk.

How much work time does it take each day?

1–3 minutes a day – it fits easily into a break. Taking part always earns points, and a missed day can be caught up later for half points, so no one drops out because of a day off or a shift swap.

Do employees need a company email address or a company device?

No. Anyone without a company device plays on their own phone via a link or QR code, and in the break room a shared kiosk or TV shows the team standings. It works in the office, on shifts and on the production line.

What size of company is it for?

Any headcount, even across multiple sites. The snowman challenge goal is set as a percentage (we recommend 85–90% participation), so it works just as well for a small team as for a company of 1,000+.

    Which variant should we choose?

There are three variants: Festive Mix, with community days, for mixed teams; Arcade, with a mini-game almost every day; and Shop Floor League, with short, competitive games tailored to manufacturing, logistics and technical teams. The colour scheme and the game mix can be customised too.

    Who provides the prizes?

Your company chooses and hands out the prizes. Our suggestion: a guaranteed small treat for 8, 16 and 24 completed days, a grand prize draw with one ticket for every 50 points, and a team reward for a finished snowman. It's worth checking the tax treatment of the rewards with payroll in advance.

What does HR see in the calendar?

HR sees in one place how many people play each day, where each team stands in the snowman challenge, and who might need a reminder to catch up.

How does it get started, and when should we ask for a quote?

In four steps: a kick-off (variant, colour scheme, prize budget), customisation (12 company facts for the puzzle, team assignments), rollout (link, QR code, kiosk), and then it starts on 1 December. The sooner you ask for a quote, the more time there is to gather your company content.

    What happens after Advent?

The calendar runs on the CHEQ employee platform. If it works for you, you can carry on in the same app with surveys, attendance and rosters, an HR chatbot and internal communication, with no new rollout.

    How much does it cost?

The price depends on your headcount, the variant and how much customisation you need. Fill in the quote request and we'll get back to you within one business day with a quote tailored to your company.
